Since I often observe that many Canadians don't know the words to our national anthem and since I find the official version quite offensive, here is my own antidotal version as a Canada Day offering. I find it cheers me up quite a bit to sing it at school assemblies and so on.
O Canada!
Our home on the natives' land!
True patriot love in all thy daughters command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free... ish!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Goddess keep our land glorious and free... ish!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
